What Football rules are you using?This game’s simulation engine is based on the official NFL ruling.
However, there are things - especially if the NFL changes its ruling - that are different or based on older rules. This short overview will tell you details:
Overtime
The overtime here is based on the Sudden Death ruling the NFL was using until 2010. This means the first score in Overtime determines the winner of the game. The new rule "each team needs to have possession" is not part of the rules.
Third-Quarterback rule
This rule says something like "if you are using your third QB before the 4th quarter you can't use the first two QBs in this game anymore." Such a rule does not exist in our small Football world.
Kickoffs from the 35 yard line
The NFL changed the ruling, so a Kickoff is now made from the 35 yard line. We did not change it, so in our world the Kickoffs are kicked from the 30 yard line.
Tiebreakers
We are not using head-to-head as a tie breaker. Instead we are using points difference, and touchdowns - in this order.
