I can't really tell what this is based on, I'd love to know, as I just looked up who was the Best QB season one in Crimson Tide. This is his stats:

1342 Plays
424 of 792 (54% Completion)
3873 Yards (4.9 average)
28 Tds
25 Interceptions
65.7 QB Rating

8 rushes for 50 Yards.

Now, I'm not saying my QB was the best by any shadow of a doubt, as I haven't been through everyone else in the league... but here's his stats.

609 Plays
107 of 237 (45% Completion)
1373 Yards (5.8 Average)
15 Tds
4 Interceptions
77.9 QB Rating

On this logic it seems that the QBs are doing better if they play more downs (would make sense) and pass for a lot of yards. Seems they're not getting punished for QB Rating of interceptions much.

The 2nd QB in Crimson tide had a much better TD/Interception ratio, less yards, but much higher QB Rating.

I think you'll find that QB, RB, FB, WR & TE rankings are based on yardage.

Most important category for all player is putting points on the score board. More yards and less turnovers help, too.

Forget the ratio.

I don't think Tom Brady, Peyton Manning etc would agree. Take a look at the NFL in 2006.

Carson Palmer put up the 2nd highest amount of TDs that year and the fifth highest number of yards. However for every two TDs he threw, he threw an INT.

Sure, he went to the pro bowl, but then again so did Vince Young for some unknown reason. But Cincinnati were 8-8. Turnovers.

I may be speaking out of turn here but I do not think that the engine has the ability to create any filters so any other way of deciding things could end up with a QB playing 1 snap, 1 pass, 1 completion for 1 TD and end up winning the award because his rating would be highest.

IRL it's easy to set a minimum number of attempts to determine the winner but in this game I don't think that's a possibility at the moment.

If it's using an SQL based database, it's easy to only call responses that have a minimum number of attempts. However, I don't know what he's using for the database.

I was only saying (big gap in conversation) that surely we could be working more of say a QB rating system. The minimum amount of attempts would be easy to do.

Also, is my QB still the best in the game?
