Hello Marti & son
Are you so sure your that far away ? The Clash is tough but I think most us other teams pay attention when we play your Dolphins. One of the Kings of the Clash told me many seasons ago the importance of player experience & then more recently I read in the Action forum just how important experience is. I can't help but notice the players you've released have 2 1/2 ex.. Don't give up the ghost my friend, you may be closer than you think. My track record really doesn't give me the gravitas to give out advice so mostly I don't except age old NFL axioms: Offense sells tickets, Defense wins Championships. Don't give up field position trying some long field goal. Don't turn the ball over (a failed 4th down attempt is a turnover). I think you & your Dolphins are a fine team. |

Thanks for your kind words
But... Coach Bug wrote:
Are you so sure your that far away ? Yes, I think so. We've experienced losses to teams that have joined this game only 3 seasons ago twice now, and the one today showed, if nothing else, that our approach to the game has not been right to meet the expectation we have... which is being competitive with the best. And in that regard we have failed every season we've played, because every game against you, the Creator, the Magpies or younameit was a loss. And we never caught up to the great teams the way that the Ice Machine or Anno Domini or PeePee did. So yes, we think we are that far away. Coach Bug wrote:

We obviously won't be any danger to you in the foreseeable future, since many players had to leave today and the new blood will need time to get up to speed. But hopefully when (and if) it's all set up right we might pose a threat to you someday again. |

One game to go in the Regular Season 75, tomorrow we have to go to the Ice Machine to get another beating. At least the squad should be accustomed to it by now and the morale hit shouldn't be too hard, if we get one at all.
Thanks to not being challenged much after the midseason meltdown and the subsequent turnover squad-wise we’re qualified for the postseason tournament, already, leading the competition in the conference by two games. We’re two behind the Ice Machine in the division, so our seed is set, and so is the opponent: We’ll meet the Blue Bunnies again in the Wildcard round. Maybe we can win this one, although we had a tough time doing so in the game we played against them during the first half of the season… so it’ll be hard work. The renewal of the squad is coming along nicely, though, so the plan to be a contender in S80 seems doable |

Well, that wish turned out not to be true. The hit is again enormous, all players that were part of the game yesterday are down to just over 80 %. Damn. I mean, yes, it wasn’t pretty, losing by 32 points again, but shouldn’t this be somewhat expected by now? Geez… |

Have you tried selecting the facilities that improve Morale? Swimming Pool or Players Lounge.

Do you put your Psychologist staff to 20 at least 1 hour before each tough game? I forgot to do this for about a year about 6 years ago and it ruined my unbeaten run eventually

So you say that they already cushioned the blow and it would have been much steeper if they wouldn’t have been at 20? |

Ok
I’m still wondering why it was so shocking in the first place, as I’d like to prepare for that. I’d think it will happen again next season and after that, and since I’m over expecting too much these days it would be nice if my squad would kinda follow suit |

Well, shoot…
I was too late to do the game settings for the Wildcard round match-up with the Bunnies today. Quite fitting in the overall picture of the season, but annoying nonetheless Last edited on 2025-01-18 16:48:58 by marti_fx |
