Hi there!
I agree that this is a very sad day if 18 teams had 2 get blocked. Not only because obviously the rules of fair play were severely violated but also because the number of actually frequently playing managers compared to the number of bot teams is the biggest struggle of RZC in my opinion. However, i completely go with Pete's decision in this case, for it can hardly be tolerated if a manager uses multi-accounts to influence the game. This is just a No-go in every game and i can only pity those poor souls who have to rely on cheating in such a way in a browser game and thus ruining the game for anyone else. Myself, I started with one team here and have now two teams since 3 seasons (in two different leagues of course, which i found to be absolutely without question btw. when i registered the second team) and i have even asked Pete if it was ok to play friendly games between my two own teams. I would like to know if maybe other people have different opinions here, so please feel free to comment if you will and maybe we can even start a discussion again on how we can make RZC more attractive for everyone again. My latest idea was a reduction of leagues to improve the above mentioned quote between actually persistent human teams and bot teams. Btw. i can not see which teams are affected and i think this is meant to be like that of Pete. I personally have no need to know which managers did manipulate results and i don't want to put the blame on anybody in public, as this surely doesn't help. I completely agree with your comments. Even aside from possible manipulation I just wonder what is the logic behind running multiple teams in the same league?
Ok it gives you multiple chances to win titles but why would you want to do that – especially if you run more than half the teams in your division? You will spend at least half of the season playing against your own teams. Where is the fun in that? For me the fun in playing is to match up against other opponents – not to play against myself. I came into this game to have fun but this situation certainly did not feel like fun anymore. I know for certain of one owner that is quitting because of this and I was just about to join him. Now with this announcement I will wait and see what happens. I know that Pete likes to have leagues kicking off at different times so as to balance the server load and also to give people a choice of times, however, given the large number of bots I would certainly support restricting leagues in such a way that we filled up as many as possible with humans. The other leagues could continue as bot leagues thus leaving room for expansion. I would also like to see a rule change that we cannot manage more than one team in the same division. |

It seems strange that anyone could control more than half the teams in a league. I have enough trouble organising just one. I suppose a lot of cut/paste, once you have everything set in one team just repeat in others.

It also means that if someone is found to contravene the rule then action can be taken because they can be legitimately accused of rule-breaking whereas at the moment they are technically not breaking any rules. It sets out to people what is considered as fair play and what is considered as not being in the proper spirit of the game. Wow, thats a total of 41 blocked teams, if i have not miscalculated. I just have no words...
But of course it is better to put an end to this than to let it go on. |
