Looks like another MOTY (against me) from a team who had nothing to gain has cost me the chance at the league title and the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if the Raleigh 49ers are back next season.

Pete, I am writing this openly because a) I am really unhappy and b) I do not want to cast aspersions on Dpierce and Paxtang (I will explain why later).
But quite frankly we have to put an end to this MOTY by first season team players. This has wrecked my chances to win the divisional title and go to the playoffs. The Raleigh 49ers turn up for a few games and decide to MOTY against me for no apparent reason. Why would they do it? The only team that seems to benefit from this is the Paxtang Black Panthers - although it is possible one of the lower playoff teams started getting worried that I was getting too close. Yet the way it turned out definitely helped Paxtang the most. I am going to state here that I do not believe that Dpierce orchestrated this. I have the utmost respect for him and he has given me lots of advice in RZA. So I can only assume it is the work of some crazed lunatic (and there have been threats made by people in RZA to use MOTY against those who complaine about it - because BobBoys Dad and I complained there about MOTY randomness - not because there is a problem in RZA but because we thought we would get more attention and support in a more active forum). However, as you can see from the above it's not just about me. This has happened on more than one occassion to the BobBoy Magpies where they have been prevented from getting the no1 seed - again by apparently random action from teams with a very poor losing record (e.g. 2-14). I thought there was a decision to prevent its use until teams had played at least one full season but quite frankly I would like to see it scrapped altogether. There seems to be no logic for it especially since in RZC new teams can compete quite effectively from the start. |
