A good and accurate synopsis. I think that the AC has 7 teams competing for the 6 playoff spots, whilst in the NC it's a little tougher as I see 9 potential competitors, possibly 10 at a stretch. That should be whittled down in the next couple of games.

A major win for the Timelords today against Missile Command. I knew it would not be easy as they narrowly lost to the Gators early in the season and had a good win over the Vines last week.

Also I made some changes to the playbook following our loss last week to Norther Riviera. There were many things that didn't work.

However, against the Command we just couldn't get our offense going in the first half. Added to that our *star* kicker missed 3 FGs - from 46, 28 and 54 yds.

Fortunately as time went on we got better but there were still some scares to come. Again fortunately for us the Command kicker missed a late 42 yarder which allowed us to stay in the game with a 54 yd FG and a fumble recovery for a TD. Then in OT our defense came up big, our offense came alive and our K nailed a 34 yarder to win the game.

Next week is a really key game which will have implications for the divisional title as we take on Paxtang Black Panthers.

Thanks! Yeah, the AC is a bit more cut and dried in terms of playoff teams, though there is still the battle for the wildcard spots. The NC definitely has the harder fights for playoff spots with 9 or so teams going for those 6 spots, three good teams will be left out at least. But this is only mid season, as the next 8 games roll by, the field of playoff teams will dwindle at least a little.

Yeah, Missile Command is definitely a good team with a lot of potential for the next couple seasons.

Yeah I noticed that, the first half stats for your offense were not that good, but at least they showed up when it mattered to hang on to the win. It always is aggravating when a kicker misses what should be an "easy" FG, especially from less than 30 yards lol.

Good luck in your match against Paxtang!

Well there were some big changes in the race for the playoffs today.

First off, the Torchwood Timelords knocked off the Dolphins Pisa in a shocking 62-3 landslide! Congrats on the huge win to the Timelords. Now the Dolphins are behind the Creepers by one game, and if the Creepers stay on fire, the division may crown them champs for the second season in a row. The Timelords also sealed their lead in their division by one game over the Paxtang Black Panthers, great job.

The second big game was This is ... Progressive Attack's surprise win over the Berinsfield Hornets. Early season I expected a tough time for the Florida Gators to win their division over the rising Hornets, but looks like the Hornets have fallen on hard times and are 2 games behind the Gators with 4 loses total. The Gators now control their destiny and are a favorite to play in the Conference Championship game, likely against the Creepers. This would be a rematch of last season's CC game.

A more detailed overview of the league will be coming after game 12.

I was hopeful of at least splitting the series with the Panthers, as we did last season, and winning at home. If not then our chance at the league title was gone.

The margin of the win over the Dolphins amazed me although they were abysmally unlucky with turnovers.

Also surprised by the Hornets loss - and earlier in the season our game against Missile Command going to OT. The newer teams are performing well and although I'm not a RZC veteran I thought that having a 2 season advantage would be helpful.

Looking forward to your u p d a t e review. At present the playoff possibles have not changed much in either conference.

This is a preupdate, as the Hornets have dropped another game, while the Creepers and Gators roll on. Playoff spots look secured for now, but after the next game things will be set. u p d a t e to come after game 12

Well, there were some interesting games today that have shaken things up in the playoff picture a bit. Here's how the teams stand and playoff and final record predictions. (Note: This is only for teams with playoff potential, other teams are irrelevant to the playoff predictions.)

AC East
Florida Gators 10-2 Predicted Finish 13-3 with division title
Though the Gators have the advantage in rating in all remaining games, I will err on the side of caution and say they drop one of them. However, the Gators are definitely on their way to defending their Conference title.

Berinsfield Hornets 7-5 Predicted 10-6 or 9-7
The Hornets have become unpredictable in the past few games, dropping what should have been big wins and losing close games to upstart programs. They will be fighting just to make playoffs, and just to hit 10 wins will be tough.

AC North
Southeastern University Fire 8-4 Predicted Finish 12-4 with division title
It is very likely that SEU will win out from here, thereby making a statement and building momentum going into the playoffs.

AC South
Dolphins Pisa 10-2 Predicted Finish 13-3 or 14-2
This team has a history for winning games, and will certainly be a playoff contender.

The Creepers 10-2 Predicted Finish 13-3 or 14-2
Another team with a history of winning, this division will be decided by the final game of the regular season between the Creepers and Dolphins.

AC West
Saint Leo University Lions 8-4 Predicted Finish 10-6 with division title
With this being a new team, I don't have a large history to base my predictions on, but from what I have seen thus far, I think the Lions can split their remaining four games.

Paris Penguins 7-5 Predicted Finish 10-6
I think the Penguins will take 3 of their next 4 games, they could lose 2, but it is likely that they take 3 wins rather than 2. That will land them behind the Lions because of PD. They fight the Berinsfield Hornets for a wildcard spot, with the only other spot taken by either the Dolphins or the Creepers.

AC Playoff Teams
Decided Teams:
Gators
Fire
Lions

Not Decided yet: Dolphins or Creepers

Wildcard:
Dolphins or Creepers
Hornets or Penguins

NC East
Paxtang Black Panthers 9-3 Predicted Finish 13-3
After looking at the remaining schedule, I think the Panthers can win out. THe only tough game left looks to be the match against the Dolphins, but I think the Panthers take that game home as a win.

Torchwood Timelords 9-3 Predicted Finish 13-3
I think that the Timelords will sweep their remaining games as well, tying the Panthers for the division. The division champ will be decided by PD, which right now goes to the Panthers, but both teams are the no-brainer picks for the playoffs.

NC North
Arusha Black Mambas 10-2 Predicted Finish 14-2 with division title
Honestly I don't see any games that appear like loses for the Mambas, though there could be a trap game in their future.

NC South
Bobboy Magpies 11-1 Predicted Finish 15-1 with division title
I feel like they will continue to pour points down on opponents and win out their last 4 games. Clearly a division favorite.

Front Line Assembly 10-2 Predicted Finish 13-3 or 12-4
Dropped game against the Magpies should be the only other loss for this team, though a loss against the Mambas is expected as well. Wildcard is all but secured.

NC West
The Northern Riviera II 12-0 Predicted Finish 16-0 with division title
The only undefeated team left, and is predicted to finish perfect. Clear favorite to win Conference, and highly likely to win the entire League.

Red Square 8-4 Predicted Finish 11-5
These guys could be a legit contender for a wildcard spot, especially if the Timelords or Panthers take an extra loss or two. Otherwise, they will be so close, yet so far from a coveted playoff spot.

NC Playoff Teams
Decided Teams:
Northern Riviera
Mambas
Magpies

Not Decided yet: Timelords or Panthers

Wildcard:
Timelords or Panthers
Assembly

Long Shot:
Red Square
