We hope everyone started the year with a good draft
Ours was OK, maybe even good, although the bar was set very high last season with those spectacular picks. These are the players that will be part of the Devil Dolphins future: ![]() Source: https://tillfelix.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/gemini_generated_image_pk50w1pk50w1pk50-e1767361043828.png Our first pick was a blocking TE, strong as an OL, but not very fast and a little stiff hip-wise. He has sticky hands, though, and is talented, experienced and very intelligent. The second pick was a defensive player with no real outstanding features except experience and perfect speed… another piece for our squad 4–5 seasons in the future. The final pick was an intriguing player in terms of sheer physical abilities and teamwork, a blocking back with experience… but only very limited talent. For all three we will find spots in which they can become valuable for our team of the future with QB Issa Osei at the helm. We won’t need them this season, though, as our senior roster is, as last season showed, in the window for title competition right now, set up with players in the prime of their playing career at all crucial positions, and most of them even at the top of their abilities: QB Romuald Schulz (30yo) leads an offense behind an O-Line with Tackles Raf Cíž (26yo) and Nikos Kappas (25yo) as well as Guards Cristiano Papa (27yo) and Sophuk Kawrungruang (26yo). FB Sylvester Vogt (31yo) provides additional blocking and the ability to run the ball, averaging 5.9 yards per carry in S81. TEs Dez Troyer (32yo) and Sue Lator (29yo) had combined 28 blocks to help the run game and 70 catches with 8 TDs in the passing game. On Defense the stout D-Line leads the way with Inside Tackles Lakshay Nagpal (30yo) and Thurdchai Hopkins (27yo) as well as Edge Defenders Nazar Krendelev (25yo) and Marcos Whitney (25yo). Passing Defense is provided through our CBs Gino Fischer (28yo) and Thomas Jenner (29yo), with FS Sarat Mehta (30yo) prying for errant throws in the defensive backfield. We lack premier players on the offensive skill positions HB and WR still, as well as on our Line Backing Corps and at Strong Safety. There are, though, already multiple players on each position to make the jump this season through training, so by the end of the season we should be good to make another playoff run. We never know, though – as they wisely say – until the games are played ![]() |

We’re 3 games into the season, and the Devil Dolphins are 3–0… despite having played against a team from the NC South already.
Today it’s a re-match of last seasons NC Championship game, as we visit the White Apes. They are 3–0, too, and sit atop the division, having a convincing victory against the Ice Machine on their belt. Maybe we’re able to make something happen today, although time to prepare is nonextistent and we have to rely on our basic settings, hoping that it’ll be enough. Good luck to everyone today ![]() |

I just realized that our Away-Jerseys look like the Packers uniform that they wear right now against the Bears 🫣

Big game day for the Devil Dolphins, as the always pleasant visit by the Alaskan Caribou is on our schedule
Last season, they paid a visit in Week 9, and we were able to come out on top, winning 27:10. In that first season for them after changing the franchise to their current name they just missed out on the postseason, coming in at seed #7 behind the Paxtang Black Panthers. They had trouble winning against their division opponents. This season, though, they seem to have put these troubles aside, as they already have one win against Pee Pee on their belt. Even more impressive was their win against the Ice Machine from the AC East, whom they beat by 31 points, only allowing 1 Field Goal for the visitors. Both them and us go into the game today with a record of 5–1, and since the Devil Dolphins are only favoured by 1.5 due to playing at home fans can look forward to a hopefully exciting game in the Smash Troja Arena. Good luck to everyone today ![]() |

The Devil Dolphins started into the back-end of their schedule yesterday. But what a game day it was yesterday: Both teams that we lost against from the NC South, the White Apes and the Alaskan Caribou, lost their games against divisional competition. How did that happen?
We still have two major opponents coming up in the next weeks: first the Guinness Consumers, then our good friends from England, the BobBoy Magpies. While we were able to beat the Creators team twice already, we still have to come out on top against the squad of BobBoys Dad. The latter, though, lost a big game yesterday against the Litany Zone, too. It’ll be interesting to see how we’ll fare in these two games, and already look forward to the postseason ![]() |

Heartbreak in Week 16: Okpara and Dolphins Fall Short in Final Seconds
Twenty-three-year-old safety Hatari Okpara sat inconsolable on the turf long after the final whistle, haunted by the missed tackle that allowed the game-winning 49-yard touchdown in the closing moments. While that single play decided the scoreboard, it was symptomatic of broader shortcomings for the Devil Dolphins throughout the afternoon. The team struggled significantly with pass protection, allowing quarterback Romuald Schulz to be sacked five times for a loss of 36 yards, and suffered from two critical interceptions—including a devastating 20-yard pick-six on the very first play of the game. The contest itself was a dramatic affair that saw the Devil Dolphins battle back from a 0-10 halftime deficit to take a late 21-10 lead in the fourth quarter. The home team showed its strength on the ground, racking up 165 rushing yards and controlled much of the clock, with Shinda Chahine punching in a go-ahead touchdown. However, the Magpies’ aerial attack proved too much to contain in the clutch, as they exploited gaps in the secondary to score two touchdowns in the final five minutes, snatching a 24-21 victory. This defeat carries heavy consequences as the regular season reaches its climax, as the Devil Dolphins have officially dropped out of the #2 seed position in the conference. That crucial spot has now been overtaken by the White Apes. With only one game remaining, the Devil Dolphins must now find a way to mentally recover from this collapse and stabilize their seeding before the post-season gauntlet begins. ![]() Last edited on 2026-02-07 19:46:37 by marti_fx |
