We hope everyone had a good draft and the preseason games were ok.
The Devil Dolphins organization was fortunate to get their pick #2 in the first round, pick #1 in the second and pick #2 in the third. The picked players are all experienced and for the offensive side of the ball: a pass blocking and fast 20yo FB, a 21yo TE with sticky fingers and a 21yo natural leader QB-prospect with perfect strength and still uncapped speed. Theme of this season will continue to be the building of a powerful squad to win the AC East again and subsequently earn a playoff home game. Last postseason still hurts, but also showed that we're close. Both preseason games that we played also showed that the defense already is on point, so we're eager to see how the regular season shakes out. Good luck to everyone ![]() |

It's Week 6 of the season, and for the first time in a long time we play a regular season game against an opponent that we have shared a division with when we joined this league, just to see him go elsewhere shortly after: TricTracs The Litany Zone.
As one might expect we have never beaten them up to this point, as their team was always WAY ahead of us. The closest we got was in Week 15 of Season 70, when we had them on the ropes with 5 minutes to go in Q4, forced a turnover on their 20... but then gave the ball away on third down ourselves and watched them march down the field to score a touchdown. We lost by 1 point, and the Zone went on to win their first league title that season. The subsequent meetings were never this close again, and after the Zone left the AC East we only met in the Divisional Round of the postseason... without being able to win against them there, too. We will try to make something happen today, as the goal for this season again is, of course, to win the AC East for the first time since the Ice Machine took the crown from us in S75. And that will only be possible if we begin to win the tough games in the regular season, too... ![]() |

So to everyone's surprise we were able to pull a rabbit out of the hat and win the game against the Litany Zone. It was a clutch 4th-Down-Conversion on the opposing 6 yard line in the final minute of Q4 that made the difference.
That's why we meet the Ice Machine today on equal terms regarding record, us both coming into the game without a loss thus far. One of us will lose today, though, and it would be miraculous if the Devil Dolphins win this one, too. We obviously have the tools to win against the Big Ones, as the game against the Zone or our Divisional Playoff game against the Magpies last season showed... but we have not shown consistency yet. And to make matters worse the coaching staff of the Dolphins lost track of the fitness training for some important players leading up to the game... so we won't expect something special today. We still want that division crown back, though... and we'll fight hard for that ![]() Good luck to everyone ![]() |

To no surprise we were not able to sweep the Ice Machine, so we do not have it in our own hands anymore to win the AC East. Damn. Their PD is way too good to get caught that way, so we have to hope they stumble against the Litany Zone today. Given that they have not won against the Zone up to this point this might be coming true... on the other hand we had not won against them until this season, either. And seeing that they are quite equal in OVR it will come down to daily form and experience of the players.
It sure would be nice to win the East to avoid meeting the Magpies in the first round of the playoffs... although we still have business of unresolved nature with them ![]() |

Well, it wasn't meant to be this season either
![]() And the training session today had more bad news: 2 injured players, one of them the most versatile and experienced OL we have... in fact the only one with a 5* rating. He has a spinal fracture, will miss 24 days of playing action, and as he's about to retire after the season he'll probably not play another game for us. Big blow to our playoff aspirations ![]() |
