Hi
as you may know we are using Google Analytics for tracking how the webpage is doing in terms of visitors, technology and so on. But this means, we are paying Google for their service, not by money, but with your data/security. This is why there is a check behind the scenes, if we could switch to another tool, so called Piwik. Basically, Piwik does the same as Google Analytics does! What is the change for the better then? We do not need to send our (your!!) data to a third party service anymore, since Piwik is running on our servers, the data are stored in our databases, without giving them to 3rd party for analyses... However, we are in testing at the moment. This means, we might have done things not properly. So if you see any strange things on the page like crazy code snippets or slow page loads, just tell us about. Right now we are running both tracking services in parralel, just for the case Piwik will cause any problems we did not see yet. Thank you! |
