Season 81 is here, and with it a fresh start for the Devil Dolphins.
The franchise has made some big changes for this new season, the biggest one definitely being the move to the NC Conference Division North. As hinted in a post last season it was a great pleasure to play against the NC South, coupled with of course the usual meetings with the Magpies and the Ice Machine, as it provided for a lot of games against real managers. And although we lost most of them we dediced to move to where we can have this pleasure again this season. Interestingly enough we get to play the Ice Machine again, too (unless they move as well), as the AC East and the NC North were also planned to play against each other this season. And not to forget the Rockabilly Kings, who already resided in the NC North… so we’ll have at least 7 very competitive games this season, which is nice 
This coming season will probably be not that successful, as we have quite some holes in the roster… but those will be cared for through the Draft or the Transfer Market. Any those players who are already on the team are no real slouches, either, so there won't be a tough out against us. To celebrate this new beginning in the NC we chose to re-do our appearance, changing the primary color from Pink to Yellow and updating the uniforms we play in accordingly. First off a Welcome to the NC Devil Dolphins. Bot games are fine but nothing compared to the thrill of matching wits against another manager.
Season 81 is our 27th campaign and it looks like we'll be fielding the youngest managed team in the Clash. We had to let go many good caliber players to get under the cap so we've tried to fill gaps best we could. The Caribou will continue to play our game, Ball control, Field control, Clock control. Chances are high the Caribou will not lead the league in Offense or scoring but we will be playing FOOTBALL. We hopefully will be fielding a competitive team & maybe cause some of you guys some indigestion.
It's good to see Marty & Son posting again & if we're lucky they'll continue to keep us up to date on the Dolphins trials & tribulations. Best of luck to everyone  |

Having gotten this player already has us building the team around him, so that he can flourish with players that become great at almost the same time as he does. Another piece for that team was picked in the second round, pretty much the counterpart for Osei on the defensive side of the ball: 21yo LB Kabona Uba. Not quite as young, but also best conditioned to make an impact in the future: perfect speed and intelligence, great strength and perfect talent, too. And even though Pick #3 is always even more of a lottery, we got lucky to get Zakir Qasem, another experienced 19yo player with almost perfect speed, uncapped strength and 5* talent. He’s not very bright nor big in teamwork, but we think we’ll find a way for him to become a disruptor nonetheless. Pretty neat: all three players were our #1 that we had atop the board in each of the rounds. With the Draft and the three preseason games done, the latter teaching us a lot about the new playbook, we enter regular season mode. We’re confident that we won’t do too good against major competition this season, but we will also be a pain the deal with. We’re looking forward to competing with a lot of great opponents and are ready for Season 81. Good luck to everyone today and for the season |

The Devil Dolphins enjoy their bye today and won’t play, as no other human led team has their bye with them in week 7.
We’re somewhat surprisingly 4–2 despite having played 3 veteran managers already. We were able to get an upset W against PeePee from the NC South on Thursday with a TD in the last two minutes of regulation, just before our young LB Casper Wattenwÿl picked off the opposing QB to finish the game. Our three Draftees are coming along nicely, as is the structure of the future team in which they’ll take bigger roles. We’ve found some good players for the D-Line, and for the O-Line it’s just one piece missing to have a promising core of players, too. But we’re in no hurry, as the win against PeePee shows that we’re maybe closer to compete than we thought we’d be at this point. Good luck to everyone today, and have a good weekend |

Just in time for today's game, one of our best OL injured his groin in training. Damn. Now the offensive line might not be up to snuff, as all those young players that we accumulated to block for future superstar QB Issa Osei are of course not ready to play great a whole game against such a defense as the Caribou bring along.

Today’s the first of two games against our biggest rival in the NC North, the Rockabilly Kings, with the second one coming just a (real time) week from now. And just in time we have the next big injury to swallow, as our premier pass rusher Álvaro García tore his achilles tendon in training. Damn. To make matters worse the managing department didn’t adjust the Depth Chart accordingly, so we’re not prepared properly. Here’s hoping that the players who are still on it can get the job done.

Meh, I just saw the Kings defending 4–3–4 in the fourth quarter and was confused, so I looked at the league table and saw they became a bot. When did that happen?
