I've been wondering ... hypothetically ... let's say a LB is near red in the physicals, a high tackle & good footwork & positioning & vison. Also with the Wingspan trait. If that LB also had a 38+ catching ... Would it, could it, does it increase the chances of intercepting a pass ?

Yep, but I dont have the numbers to prove it. You might be talking 2 extra a season or 2 in their career, I couldn't say

I'm not sure how it could be nailed down to just what the effect is, Too many variables at play. Just to know it does have a positive effect for that guys chances of intercepting is probably all you could pin down.
I also suspect a WR with a high 'carry' rating has an effect on short passes turned long. |

I understand the 'wingspan' trait increases interception chances. The question I was asking was if a LB (or CB ) with a high 'catching' # increases the chance of a interception.
I'm not sure if the Minister of Peace of Love and the holder of the 'Book Of Knowledge' containing the auroral secrets we all seek will directly answer this question. I am tending to lean towards what a fellow manager has said. I am thinking it does. :  |
