please take a look at this game::

I made 321 yards in this game, but did not score a single point. Not even a FG (altho I had 2 attempts).

Is that normal?

I am not talking about me losing, even at this scale. That was to be expected with 10 points difference in team evaluation, 50% TC and 70% PC. But I find it strange, that with 300+ yards, there is not a single score on the board.

Did anyone have similar examples?

Yo dude, looks like you are passing down the middle alot and so with the % difference in player quality this will explain 5 out of the 9 interceptions, so your team he gone down the field then been intercepted 9 times and that would easily explain all that yardage and no points.

Hi there!

Not that i have had a similar experience myself, but the result can be explained.

Missing the 2 FGs is just bad luck, a miss on a 55-yarder o.k., but the 28 yard miss is a rare occasion.

And then you have thrown 9 (!) Interceptions. I mean it is quite simple... if you move the ball and turn it over every drive, then there is no possibility to score.

Therefore the biggest conclusion of that game: Check your pass-play on your playbook. Maybe you have mixed in some medium or even long passes? Those 11 yard-passes can happen on short passes as well, so it is not quite sure. Some screen passes got intercepted as well and you can say that Mrs. Fortune wasn't really on your side in this game.

However, you need to work on your playbook. Look at the plays when the Ints happened, maybe you pass to much over the middle? It is a bit of a try and error thing... but if your PC and TC is not up it might as well bring some worse results, so you will really have to optimize when your team is on full strength in those categories.

Good luck!

Ah good to know, I completely overlooked the interceptions.
Yeah, I did not even start with the playbook yet. This season is sort of a kickoff anyways, getting sorted with coaches etc. So playbook is kinda second priority.
I will tweak some of the game settings. Maybe that will help.

Well, it actually helped a great deal :-)

My int rating is down to a point, where I can accept it.

I will sort my playbook during the offseason, before the draft.

Maybe my players need a bit of finetuning. 3 interceptions again vs. a player team. This time on short / med passes of 4-10 yards. One of them on a 1st and goal situation, which was quite annoying.

I think, once my TC and morale is better, they will perform well.

TC and Morale both are quite factors, so yes. Fix those, including PC of course, and your team should perform better!

7 interceptions in the last game. My QB has a TC of 45%. I just have to endure, I guess.

versus a better team, with a good portion of pass attempts between 10 and 20 yards in the middle of the field...7 might be harsh, but of course this is risky playing.

in other words... stop medium passes and pass more to the flanks rather than down the middle...
